Central Switch Yard, design by Herzog & de Meuron, Basel, Switzerland, May 2007

The Central Switch Yard of the Federal Swiss Railroad is designed by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron in 1995 and completed in 1999. As you can see the building is formed by wrapping and twisting the copper ribbons, it seems that, at least in my mind, the concept comes from the rails!!

مرکز سویچ راه آهن فدرال سویس در سال 95طراحی و در سال99 به اتمام رسیده پوسته ساختمان از پیچاندن و تاباندن نوارهای مس شکل گرفته است به نظر میرسد – حتی حداقل من خیال میکنم- که ایده ساختمان برگرفته از ریلها بوده است
