The thirteenth day of the Iranian new year festival is Sizdah Bedar (literally meaning "thirteen to out" was last Friday (April the 2nd), Iranian families avoid the bad luck associated with the number thirteen by going outdoors and having picnics and parties, and leave behind their Sabzeh (grass), a part of New Year set table, in water.
